Advice for the clueless needed please!
I currently drive a 98 fiesta, which I've just put through the NCT, so its good to go for another 2 years. I cover a lot of miles, about 90K in 4.5 years, 20k or so a year on average.
I have the opportunity of buying an 04 fiesta in may of this year, it has less than 10k on the clock (not properly run in I know) and I will get it for slightly less than the market value. But it is a petrol engine.
Given my mileage would I be better in financial terms passing up this offer and going for a small diesel car (safety and economy are my biggest concerns, i really dont care what I drive apart from that) So I would pass up the discount (about 500e) and knowledge of the car's history (I have known it from new)
and what would one expect to pay for a 3 door 04, fiesta, basic model, no extras, 1.2
