help on title deeds

hi aLL,last year my partner and i took out a mortgage on the house an land we live in to settle a divorce settlement for his wife...the title deeds are in his name an was supposed to have mine added as by the terms an conditions of the draw down of the mortgage..we since just got the title deeds back an they are still only in my partneres name...wen i asked the solicitor were was my name he said he wasnt told tp put them on....an it would cost up to €50,000 to get it put on????????????even though it states it in the mortgage documents....the only other way is to get married an still then its going to cost around 2,000...help...do we demand he puts this right as it his is mistake or will we have to pay again.....i have even just got a copy today from my morgage company that our solicitor signed last year stating my name would be added...plz help if you can i feel likeim going mad with worry as if anything happens to my partner i would have no solid legal rights just "an interest in the property " as the solicitor put it....and im a joint mortgage holder for the property....
 
I suspect that the 50,000 he refers to would be a capital acquisitions tax bill for a transfer of equity from an unrelated person but you would need to ask your solicitor to explain things more clearly.

hi yes thats what he said but it was in the terms set out by the mortgage compaNY last year..we only got a copy this week...and its not right...i was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem an how it was resolved....we cant get into see the solicitor till next week an its so worrying...nobody seems to now what to do....
