Hi,
I have recently moved from Mayo to Dublin in the hope of employment and a much needed change of pace!I have a place and have a letter from the landlord and lease etc..
I need to tell the SW I have moved I know I should go to the local office here in Dublin but I'll be back in Mayo for the next week as of today,my question is can I go to my local office in Mayo and let them know of my changed address and can they transfer my JA to Dublin?Seeming as I will be there and have the time it would be much easier for me this way.
Also will there be any loss or gap in payment and will there be another means test?
Whether you call into your Mayo office or not, you will still have to call into the office in Dublin to put the claim into payment. The means test may be reviewed, especially if you were living at home and means-tested on parental income.
If you are left without JA for any time, contact the CWO at the local health centre, you can apply for SWA in the interim.
gipimann,
Cheers for the reply. Not sure if I was clear on my situation. I was living alone in Mayo for the past six months after many many years abroad. My claim was already processed and payment in full has been dished out. Basically Im just changing address in the hope of finding some work with a little more ease than in the seclusion of a mayo island.
Does the above answer still apply to my situation do you reckon?
