Help Google disabled email!

This morning I tried to log onto gmail, but got a message that the account was disabled. It gave a contact button , which when pressed, opened up a page telling me that the help bar is not available in my language (English).

I need access to my "history / old emails" as they contain contact details of friends and clients.

Is this a regular occourance? is there a way of resolving this?

Any help appreciated.
