Hi,

I am 33 years old and I am looking into getting health insurance. I was looking for some help on choosing a plan. My wife has health insurance covered by her work but I would need to add my 6 month old to any plan that I would get. I am looking for a good standard policy that would have access to private hospitals as well as public. I would be looking to spend around €1000 for decent coverage.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Hi Kellyer86,

Welcome to AAM. The following plans are worth considering;

1. VHI One Plan 250; price 896pa; all public and private hospitals covered, private excess capped at 250 x 2 max per year for all admissions,
day case excess 150 per procedure.

The child option One Plan 150 is worth considering, details as follows;
2. VHI One Plan 150; child price 197pa; all public and private hospitals covered; private excess capped at 150 x 2 max per year for all admissions
and day case excess 150 per procedure.

3. Irish Life Benefit plan; adult price 965pa; child price 190pa; all public, private and Beacon hospital covered, private excess capped at 200 x 2
