HELP Can I claim back deposit even if Lease for apartment is not up?

Hi guys,

I need to move out but landlady refuses to pay back deposit as lease is not up. I heard now that it is the "Law" to get the deposit refunded if you give a 1 months notice. Does anyone know more about that?

What does your lease say? The lease is the "law". What does is say about duration of the lease, notice periods, early termination, deposit refund?
