Hi all, hoping someone can help me out. About two weeks ago I found a swarm of ants, both ordinary and flying ants, had infested my buxus plant. I threw out the plant and doused the whole area with any powder, problem solved or so I thought. This week I finished doing up by back garden. I have literally spent thousands on it, all new plants, flower beds, garden furniture etc. I was just sitting out to enjoy it this morning and found hundreds upon hundreds of ants in my new flower bed, climbing up the walls etc. straight away I put ant powder all over the edges where the ants were but I am just after going out and they seem to be moving further into the flower bed! Can anyone please help or suggest something that I can do before the ants ruin my new garden? I have never had problems with ants in the past it is just this year and some of the flying ants are huge!

ants everywhere at the moment & they will "disappear" shortly... I've had ants in the gardens for years & I can't say that they've done damage...

I have millions of ants outside, they don't do any harm. Husband cannot stand them in the driveway and this greatly amuses the kids when he dances when getting out of the car.

It's the flying ants that arrive in my kitchen annually that drive me do la li.

The two pack Ant Stop works for us. We tried the powder and the Nippon and it didn't really work. They started flying yesterday and this evening. Close the windows.
