Help/Advice with purchase and refund from Power City.

Hi All Problem With Powercity Bought Tv Last Week Discovered It Was Cracked When I Got Home Returned It Straight Away They Didnt Have Replacement Voided Sale Back Onto My Laser Card Still Havent Got My Money Back Any Ideas??

Powercity Saying They Didnt Take Money As Transaction Was Voided Their Saying Money Is Being Held By Bank. Bank Are Saying They Cant Release Money Because Powercity Voided Rather Then Refunded Sale. Powercity Say They Dont Have To Refund Only Void And They Have Stopped Returning My Calls
 
I'd ring the bank and tell them the story. Ask how long it usually takes to go back into account. I've had this done a few times and I think it's almost instant.

By voiding it presumably you mean they cancelled the sale altogether which would lead one to believe that the money now lies with the bank. Do you have a refund docket from Power City? If so perhaps a visit to produce the receipt to the bank and a request to speak to the person allocated to look after your account or The Manager might solve the problem.

P.S. Can you take off the setting on your keyboard as it makes the text very hard on the ol' eyes
 
sorry bout upper casing.
have contacted bank they said it could take up to 8 days after they recieve the refund order which powercity say they dont have to send been going round in circles with both of them all week

have tried bank stil need refund from powercity to be put through.
 
As Sueellen said, I would have thought that this was automatic, when they put in card? If this is not the case then go back to Power City, insist on seeing the Manager and try to get exactly what the story is. If s/he insists they don't need to return anything to the bank, ask for it in writing. Failing that, ring the bank while you're in Power City and let the manager speak to whoever is giving you this information. I'm still inclined to believe Power City (no association with them), as they must deal with this frequently.

powercity dont have store managers they just tell you to ring customer services which is an answer machine you leave your number and eventually they might ring you back will try bank again tomorrow thanks
