Our new kitchen installation is imminent and we are asking around about having a splashback made (either glass or steel). I know the widths of the extractor (60cm) and the hob (63cm), but what is the standard height of the extractor above the hob - ie how high should the splashback be? Or is it better to wait until it's been installed and measure up?
Also I've just noticed that Argos do a glass splashback for €30 which is 65cm high. Anyone know whether this is amazing value or a waste of money?
