Hedging foreign exchange risk for regular payments

Has anyone any experience as an individual (rather than a business) of hedging foreign exchange (e.g. Stg/€) for regular payment amounts (such as a mortgage) with any of the Irish banks or another provider?

If so, what has your experience of cost and/or level of service been?
