Funny we just put a timer on our immersion about 3 months ago as gas CH broke so we thought seeing as we are extending we will leave the boiler broke and use the immersion for the mo coming on for 3/4 hours morning and evening.
Finding it cheaper to run the electric immersion.... No huge gas bill anymore despite that fact that the gas wouldn't have been on for heating rads, it think its still cheaper.
