our purchase of a holdiay home went through in DEc 07 and we paid 500 euro to join a management company as did the other 6 purchasers in the scheme. We stayed in our holdiay home last weekend and we find that nothing has been done - the grass hasnt been mowed this season and the street lights are not working. I phoned the builder today who tells me what he always tells me no matter what I phone him about -he is 'working on it'. What can I do to progress matters and ensure that our 3500 euro is put to good use and we have a mown green area and street lights at least. I dont have contact details for my neighbours. The 7 unit estate is complete at this stage.

You should contact the builder again for the contact details of the agent for the management company. Generally with new estates the builder contracts an agent to administer the management company until the AGM, when the members (you and your other neighbours) can elect new directors (yourself included). From my own personal experience, the agent did nothing in the first year except collect his own fees citing that he hadn't the power to make decisions until instructed by the Directors.
