Hi there,
Just looking for some advice about renewing my health insurance. I have been with Laya Essential Health 300. This time around my renewal premium is coming in €250 more expensive, so it is almost €1600 to renew from April 1st. I went for this scheme last year as it offered orthopedic cover in addition to other benefits, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of another more reasonably priced plan with a similar level of cover? I am toying with the idea of Level Health B plan which is several hundred cheaper (and then pay a co-payment of €2000 if should I need a joint replacement at some point in the future). I thankfully have no major joint issues, and it is probably unlikely I would be getting such a procedure in the near future. Just wondering what people might think? Thank you so much.
It's bamboozling but when I was renewing at the start of the year I found this a good place to start - the Dermot Goode pieces clarified a lot for me and helped me to make an appropriate choice for my needs.

Hi Sue Ellen, yes that does take account of their price increase at the start of April. I will check out that scheme you mentioned. Thank you very much, Derek
