Health Insurance Health insurance for 21 year old Male Student looking at Laya ConnectChoice ?

My 21 year old son is currently covered under my employer health insurance up till 1st Dec . Its the Irish life health net most 500 which has a €500 excess on private hospitals admissions in Galway which my company pay for us. But once the renewal comes in Nov if we want to keep him on the policy we would have to pay the premium for him and not sure how much that will cost but he would also be liable for the €500 private hospital excess as he needs stay 1 night in a private hospital on 12th Dec .

So I have been thinking it would probably work out better/cheaper for him to take out his own policy and have stumbled upon the Laya Connect Choice plan which seems to have a much smaller excess at for private hospitals at €125 and has a good level of hospital cover ,everyday expenses cover and Scan center cover . My thinking is that buying this policy for approx €750 will be a better option that keeping him on the Irish Life health policy and paying that premium and then paying another €500 to the hospital for the excess.

Has anyone found any other policies for a 21 year old that they would recommend or is the Lay ConnectChoice as good as it gets for around €750

Hi, for the past two years my son, now 21 has been covered under Laya Signify Plus, it was around €490 last year.
However, when I try to do the comparison now I can't see any Young Adult price on the Laya page or the Hia.ie page.

But they have the Signify Plus on the Laya page. I attached a link. If you select 0 for young adult then put back in '1' it'll ask you their age.

Might be worth a call to Laya asking for a price for the Signify Plus and the ConnectChoice.
