Health Contribution - is it cumulative

I have a small business and need some adice on Heath Contribution.

Health Contribution is payable on all income > €500 per week, working out at €26,000 per year.

An employee earned €680 per week up to week 37. He paid Health contribution on all his income as over the €500 threshold. Up to week 37 he had earned €25160 year to date.

From week 38 the employee went on 3 day week earning €408 per week.

1. Do I stop deducting Health Contribution for week 38 and 39 as the employee is earning less than €500 per week and cumulative income for the year to date is €25976 (25160 + 408 + 408)?

2. What happens from week 40 when the employee is still earning €408 per week? His income year to date is now €26384. If the Health Contribution is cumulative, he is over the yearly limit of €26000? Do I look at the weekly threshold and stop deducting HC or is HC cumulative and therefore should start deducting it again?

Any advice much appreciated

Health contrib is NOT cumulative-based. It is dealt with on a payslip-by-payslip basis.
