1. Glenties to Ardara, go out Killybegs road turn right and go to Maghery caves /beach.
Come back up turn right and head to Killybegs , premier fishing port.Take coast road to Kilcar and Carrick. Head to Slieve League Cliffs, they are worth seeing.. Come back to Carrick turn left and head to Glencolumbkille, see Silver Strand if you can.
Glencolumbkilee to Carrick turn left for Ardara .Excellent viewing point after 4 miles, then into Ardara onto Glenties.
2. Glenties to Fintown turn left @ fintown, for Doochary . Take side road that takes you past Lough Barra and edge of Glenveagh Park.Keep past Gartan Lake on your left , follow signs for Glenveagh Park, enjoy it or hire electric bikes .They have a fairly good café @ the main Centre.
3. Visit Horn Head/Dunfanaghy ,into Carrigart and take the Mulroy Bridge into Fanad Peninsula, stay on coast side and go past Portsalon and head towards Rathmullan on the Atlantic drive.Get lunch @ Silver Tassie (close to Letterkenny ) then take Glenties rd out of letterkenny.
4. If weather is good take picnic to Ards Forest Park , either go in main entrance or go via Ards Friary and walk the ocean path to a lovely cove.(one of my favourite places)
5. Letterkenny out Derry road and follow signposts for Inishowen 100, see Fort Dunree/Malin Head , back round Inishowen and have tea in Harrys in Bridgend (has won umpteen awards) then would be a shame not to go into Derry and walk their impressive walls.
Pubs generally have something on @ this time of year , Ardara seems to be the spot.
Restaurants. Most are Ok , I recommended Silver Tassie (letterkenny)and Harrys (bridgend) since I know them .
You also have Lemon Tree in Letterkenny and the usual chip shop type places .
Hope this helps, and hope you get the weather the scenery deserves.
