The answer in a nut shell is MANY... but you will have combine also..

When the area for items is full then you have the right amount..

I have 15 so far, it looks as if there should be 18 ?? I won't go to google just yet................

I escaped from the Crimson room.

It seemed to have more to do with perseverance than anything else. Keep clicking on stuff until you find all the items. The box of mystery was hardly the stuff of rocket science.

I'm going to go to bed and read my book for half an hour instead :D
