Have late 2005 A4 facelift model 1.9TDi SE considering trading in for 2.0TDi A6.

I have a late 2005 A4 facelift model 1.9TDi SE which I am considering trading in for a new model 2.0TDi A6. I would appreciate advice on the reliability of the new A6 vis a vis the A4, which has been second to none - I have heard some scare stories about the Audi 2.0TDi engine and would like to get feedback on it before I go looking around. The main reason I'm looking into changing is for the extra space in the A6 for family etc. Thanks
 
There appears to be dpf problems with the vag diesel engines. All the new diesels on the road have dpf's fitted and these devices are clogging up especially in slow town driving. Try vagdrivers for info on the audi range. Pre 2008 diesel burners did not have dpf's (notice the smoke) and they tended to be less troublesome.
