Have Dentures - Would like Implants/Crown - How Much

After a trip to local Dentist today , one of us was advised that the alternative to dentures is two implants and a crown .

The Dentist was please to quote for this work , a total of € 8,000

Does anyone know , if this is 'value for money ' and how much could we expect to pay North of the border ?

My dentist in the sunny SE charges €1000 for a post retained crown. Implants are a bit more, around €1500 I think. PM me if you would like the name of my dentist to investigate more, as an aside - excellent dentist!

if you have some free time, there is an option to go East (Hungary, Slovakia, etc) where you'll have this work done at a fraction of the Irish price. You can have nice holidays at the same time.
Of course, possible complications have to be taken into consideration, plus famous "patriotic" issue, but it is an option (which was already discussed on this forum)
