Hi,

My partner and I are in the process of leasing a commercial unit. We are starting to get cold feet about the lease and want to revoke our offer and subsequently not sign the paperwork.

Our solicitor is annoyed as the process is right up to signing point.

Regarding solicitors fees etc how much if not all should we pay our solicitor and is there consequences for pulling out of our verbal comittment of leasing unit?

Assuming you are correct when you say you have only made a verbal committment, then there are no legal consequences in pulling out at this stage.

I would think though that you will probably pay full fees to the solicitor. They have more than likely done the majority of the work on the file at this stage.
