I think the OP is being very harsh on Harrington. He wasn't at his best last weekend and he hasn't really been at his best since the PGA win. I think people are forgetting that he did start off very well last Friday. He was holing must make putts from distance regularly on Friday, halved a match and narrowly lost the second match.
Faldo probably should have rested him on Saturday morning and played him in the fourballs which might have suited him better. Faldo himself had admitted that playing the top player down the order on Sunday backfired on him but hindsight is a great thing.
