I am currently renovating an old shop unit and converting into self contained living unit.Looking for advice on hardwood flooring.I need to let carpentar know what height to set doors.I am deciding on hardwood floor option.I installed harwood floors [just deal painted] about 18 years ago in main residence.Back then we laid concrete sub floor and then laid 2inch battens ,allowed for cross ventilation and then laid red deal floorboards over this.Is it best to get hardwood glued to concrete base.I thought if i used battens I could use insulation for floor between battens.How do installers allow for insulation if you glue to concrete base. What heights should I allow for doors.Any advice please
