Hardware for better wirelss signal?

Hi guys

My brother is living in Limerick and they have finally got Eircom Broadband in their area. He lives with his girlfriend and her parents house is on the same land as their own house. Her parents have just added broadband to their eircome package and my brother and his girlfriend arr using the same broadband as is in her parents' house. They are having trouble picking up a good signal and it only seems to work in the bedroom at the window. They are using the signal all above board so there is no piggybacking issues. I know there is hardware that he can get to strengthen the signal which I believe is similar to the wireless modem. Can anybody enlighten me as to what it is they needs?

The router/range booster you need will depend on the distances involved, width of walls etc. Belkin have a N+ one that may suffice.
