hanging heavy mirror

I would like to hang a full length mirror but it is really heavy. I'm afraid it might come crashing down on a child. On the back of it there is a wire a bit like a coat hanger, in an inverted "v", from which the mirror should be hung. I would prefer to secure it on more than one hook. The position where I would like to hang it is not a solid wall - it is a stud partition (correct term?). I bought it in Arnotts where they have them hanging from blue room dividers - I don't know how they stay up.

You really need mirror clips for this; at least two at the bottom and two at the top and preferably a couple at the sides as well.

B&Q have them over here and I would think that they have them in Ireland as well.

A friend of mine, Felix Vink, offers a mirror hanging service if you live in Dublin. He has a website at [broken link removed] and you can contact him on 2300900.
