hi just got approved in principle with halifax and they have sent us out our pack to send in our bank statements pay slips etc sent off today.
any body have there mortgage with them or has had any dealings with them how fast do you think we will no if we have gotten our full mortgage???

Hi, I did same a week ago. I was trying to switch my mortgage.
They were quick getting back to me but I asked if they could check with the valuer what the house is worth without doing a full valuation as I was concerned the value would be less than required. The house was worth 20k less than needed for mortgage. They also asked a lot of questions about deposits and withdrawals from bank accounts, much more than in previous mortgage applications.

I`m in the process of moving my mortgage from First Active to Halifax and so far they have been a pleasure to deal with. Everything has been moving very quickly and we are nearly there now(signed all relevant documents with the solicitor this morning).

My mortgage is less than 50% LTV though so I dont know if this made a difference.

I also dealt with a local branch so I had someone to call into or phone if I had any questions, which was a big help.
