Are both same or different entities ? My broker tells me they are same but both seems to have different websites and different products/Rates. I am confused

Halifax is the personal banking side of Bank of Scotland

Bank of Scotland used to be personal and business but i think now they split them & Halifax is for personal banking like credit cards and loans and mortgages and Bank of Scotland is for business customers . Bank of Scotland do home loans tho - theres info on their site
