I have had debit card for a couple of months now and i'm happy with it - no more monthly credit card bills.
Have put through a couple of transactions without any problem. However, my last attempted online transaction was to book a couple of nights accomodation with a uk hotel group website. Their website/payment system stated that they accept visa debit cards. I input my details three times but came back with the same error. ie. "the card number you have entered is not recognised as a visa debit card number".
I had read of problems with payment using this card. Just wondered how can I resolve this quickly as need to book with that particular hotel and have no other card availalbe to do it with.
EDIT ~ Contacted bank and they said problem wasn't on their end. Up to travelodge to update their visa system. Only way i can get a hold of travelodge is by email (they don't seem to have a customer service dept. reachable by phone!) - which they guarantee to answer within 10 days ...
