Can somebody please clarify the deposit guarantee limit which applies to accounts with Halifax
 
€100k. Bank of Scotland (Ireland), trading naming Halifax, is regulated by the Irish Financial Regulator. Here's a [broken link removed] to HX's website where there's confirmation of that.
 
Thank you for reply. They state that depositors are covered to 100,000 Euro. They dont state if that is per depositor or per accounts i.e. if there are joint accounts is it still 100,000 or is it that amount for each account holder.
 
€100k per depositor per institution.
