Need help with Christmas shopping please!

What is recommended for curling very straight fine long hair?
What about "Carmen" - a friend saw it advertised on telly, or is there a GHD for curling, or are heated rollers more successful???

(The person I'm getting this gift for has tried velcro rollers but they didn't work out for her).

Any suggestions much appreciated!
(Ideally hoping to buy on-line...)

Thanks - P.

Using the standard GHD is your best option.. Takes a bit of practice though... use fine section of hair and wrap it around the iron quite tightly. Spray each section/ curl immediately with hairspray.

Tongs, heated rollers etc... rarely achieve the temperature that a GHD iron does so hence the curl is not always great on longer hair as the weight of the hair itself drags the curl down. Curling fine hair is easier when the hair is layered.

Heated rollers give mental curls on long straight hair so the person will need practice. I haven't mastered the art of curling with a ghd yet.

I own both a GHD & Carmen tongs, have never mastered curling with a GHD! The carmen tongs works really well, it's inexpensive & can be purchased in boots - definately worth a go!
