The Heritage Hotel, Killenard, is 5 mins drive from Portarlington and has an expensive (imho) gym with all the equipment you want.
Not a lot of choice but there is a rumour that a gym is on the way for the town. Although, there are a lot of rumours about a lot of things and very little development.
