GSHP, costs and doing some DIY

We're thinking of putting a GSHP into our new build with underfloor heating.
WE have a digger in the family so could do the laying of the pipes in the garden outselves and I've no doubt we could tackle the pipping for the UFH.
Has anyone done this themselves, did it save much money, how do we go about getting specs for piping etc.
Cork/Waterford area.
