Is it a problem when grout is crumbling between floor tiles? The tilers will be back to work on another job for me so I can call them on it if something needs to be done. Its only on a few tiles, most are fine. Thanks.

Yes it is, they should fix it as it affects the strength of the tiles and looks unsightly.

Had the same problem a few years ago, I reckon the tiler didn't use the right mix. we have to get all the grout taken up and then new grout put in its place.

Is it tiles over floorboards and if so did the tilers put solid boards over the floorboards before laying the tiles? This is the most common cause of this problem mainly in upstairs bathrooms.

The tiles are over a concrete floor with plywood on top. Its only in about 5% of the tiles.
