We are getting our bathroom done up next week and i have all the bits and bobs ready to go apart from the grout. We have cermica vogue red tiles going in the floor and a light grey tile on the walls. I think a light grey grout may be the best choice for this, what do you guys think? Also, i have been calling around looking for light grey grout and it seems harder to get than i thought! Would you have any recommendations of where to get?
Was calling around today, Tilestyle (have small light grey tubs 2.5kg at 31 euro a pop!), nationwide (would take 2-3 days) and others. Checked Chadwicks and Heitons as they are close by but they didnt have any. At that stage i was starting to get worried that i was looking for something unusal! I will check b&q tomorrow, thanks all.
Never put white grout on the floor, will show dirt. Iv yellow tiles that we grouted in a grout that looks golden yellow think called sandstone. I know it was expensive but worth it. I know in the kitchen tiles we used ivory.
For the Walls you should get bal microflex White grout to avoid mildue and staining. Bal also do a grey for the floor which will need to be flexible if it's an upstairs bathroom. Tubbs and tiles have that grout. It is expensive but it's the best you can buy.
The tile wharehouse are the only shop that have a really light grey grout but it only comes in 11kg bags.
I would highly recommend that you use a tile shop for grouts and adhesives as diy and builder providers are actually far more expensive.
That said right price tiles seems to be the most expensive for these.
Hope this helps.
