Been having trouble with a gravity fed oil tank, it is located approx. one foot below the ilnet into the house, and it as to rise anther foot or so into the furnace. It works relatively well when full... Can anybody recommend a pump or other similar affordable device to remedy this? I don't belive the tank can be raised.

Use a tiger loop. It must be located outside as it will vent kerosene fumes. You must convert the burner oil pipe to a two pipe system between the tiger loop & the burner. The bypass screw must also be used within the oil pump.
The tiger loop itself must be located above the height of the burner. Once fitted you will not have another issue again. Very easy also to bleed if you ever run out of oil.
