We are about to lay gravel on our driveway - Glenview Gold - but I cannot make up my mind between the 10mm and the 14mm. While I think the 10mm looks better than the 14mm, I hear that people think the 10mm will stick in shoes and scratch wooden floors (we have wooden floors downstairs). Will a doormat be enough to prevent this? Have people had any experience (good or bad) with either size? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that - I had looked at that website as recommended by so many and have found it to be excellent. However I am still curious regarding what experience people have had with the different sized stones..... is it worth sacrificing floors for the 10mm stones - probably not! Thanks again.

take the largest, not greater than 20mm for any driveway stone as cars will take it out in tyres and shoes do bring it in.

How much a tonne does this stuff work out at ? I've calculated about 20 tonnes of the stuff at 3 inch depth
