I would appreciate if anyone out there could let me know if there is a grant in Ireland offsetting the cost of purchasing an electric car, ... I believe there's a GBP 1,500 grant in the UK called Powershift.
I think there is a VRT refund when you buy a hybrid (i.e. electric & petrol engine) such as Toyota Prius or Lexus RX400h, but this is built into the purchase price.
