I'm sure I'm not alone in seeing graffiti of the form:
Anto loves Celine
or even, particularly in recent years:
Anto loves Celine and baby
but today I noticed a new one when I saw the following scrawled on the wall of the Bridewell Garda Station:
Anto loves Celine and baby due 6th December 2005
Brought a lump to my throat.

Wonder will the affectionate literate Da still be helping the Gardai with their enquiries when the babby arrives!

Reminds me of a 6' high bit of graffiti on the side of a warehouse. It read:-

GIVE ME PAPER!

Years ago I had great intentions of doing a photo journal of some of the stranger and funnier graffiti that one could see around Dublin but I never got around to it. Maybe next time I'm made redundant I will... ;)

One of the front runners would have to be the (contemporaneous I might add) Vote Nixon on the Connaught Street wall of Dalymount Park.

One of the best pieces of graffiti I ever saw was in Johannesburg at the time of the Stompie Seipei case when Winnie Mandela was on trial for kidnapping and murder. It was
Winnie's in the pooh.
