This may be a stupid question:

When I buy an insurance product (car, house) I understand their is a 3% gov levy.

Does this levy apply to the total gross premium price, or does it apply to a proportionate amount of the total gross premiun price?

It applies to the total premium, so if, for example, your car insurance renewal is €309.00 you can take it that the premium itself is €300 and the levy is €9.

I've been trying to located a link or calculation on the internet, official site (i.e. revenue) but cant locate this.

Any suggestions
