I Have Just Checked My Cc Balance On Banking365 And The Gov Duty Is Down As A Cash Advance. Is This Correct, Surely It Isn't.... I Know It Has To Be Paid, But With A Cash Advance They Will Charge Me Interest From The Day The "advance". Just Want To Check Before I Ring And Give Out.

I'm with PTSB had the same and not only that, my minimum payment increased by the 40 € tax.

I asked them on the phone and I got the "sorry I don't know the answer to that" and "I need to call Headoffice". So I hope to get an answer tommorrow during office hours.

40 euro (Govt duty) also down as a cash advance on my Bank of Ireland Mastercard. Will have to wait until I get my bill to see if they charge me interest, as would be normal with a cash advance.

On PTSB's Open24 online banking mine is simply described as "GOVERNMENT STAMP DUTY" so I don't think that it's a cash advance.
