I was delighted to read today that gormley has tightened rules on big housing estates in rural villagers, developers will have to build infrastructure first, and councillors will be now bound by the planning guidelines and will not be allowed to ignore them, hopefully the backbenchers will not try and sabotage this, an awful lot of harm has already been done with bad planning, our international reputation has suffered because of it with both the economist and the lonely planet guide commenting on it.

I don't think its our reputation we need worry about, but i do see a stumbling block when it comes to the councillors as this is a major area for them in terms of power locally and votes. interesting to see how it pans out.

They're about ten years too late with this. The damage has already been done.
