Is there any way of switching off the momory on google? If I type in a search, it lists all previous searches in abox below the google bar.

any help appreciated

In internet explorer, click tools > options> clear content and then click off autocomplete

In mozilla, tools > options > privacy > clear entered data and also set it to clear after you close mozilla.

Slightly off topic, but you can't get Google to delete your searches. Everything you search for is saved by Google and linked to your IP. If you have a Gmail or Google account, your searches are also linked to your name / address / etc.

Scary stuff!

but those who are paranoid might want to use another search engine.

Update: see [broken link removed] for example.
