I'm looking for recommendations for a very good trainer on this topic. There are many out there but I want the best!!!

The best trainer I ever saw was an American woman who coached us on presentation skills - in the Burlington. I forget her name and the company she was with - I lent someone her info pack and of course it was never returned.

Would be grateful if you can give me any suggestions.

The ICAI run a presentation skills course that contains a lot of good tips. It's a 2 day course, but unfortunately it's on today and tomorrow!

I found Carr Communications to be excellent, but it has been many years since I used them.

try www.evolve.ie - they run great presentation skills courses, and generally customise as per company requirements or have a more general type for the individual.

I just done a two day course with carr communications excellent course I highly recommend it

I attended Communications Skills with Soft Skills (www.softskills.ie) - would not be the most confident of public speakers, even dreaded the course - but found it very useful and worthwhile. Would recommend not going with anyone you know, definitely makes all the roleplay and video work easier knowing that you're free to make a fool of yourself and never see any of these people ever again ;-)

I think I did the same course.
If your trainer was a blonde lady in her 30's, then I can highly recommend this course too. We did the roleplay and video work also.
I came away with a lot more confidence re public speaking, and have since presented to my senior managers in work. The course helped me out a lot.

it's the qualities of the tutor rather than the company they work for that counts. it's common for trainers to move between companies so don't assume that because X company was good two years ago, they'll continue to be good today.
