Where I live, there are 25 houses nearby. I have got to know more neighbours in the last couple of weeks than in my two years here. I spent yesterday, piping temporary water supply lines to neighbours with frozen pipes and making sure the eldery residents heating was running (one had broken down). I have been checking in everyday for the last few weeks. My next door neighbour has allowed me to borrrow his water supply for a few affected houses on the road, including me for a few hours a day, a real life saver.
