You gotta love golfie people:

Golfers are appealing to the Taoiseach's sporting nature not to call the general election over the busiest sporting weekend of the year. They are hoping the balloting won't clash with the Irish open golf tournament at Adare Manor Hotel and Golf resort in Co Limerick, May 17-20.

"The government has the power to change the date for the election and I would urge them to do so," said Anita Higgins, manager of Adare Manor Hotel and Golf Resort.

I'm hoping to have a car boot sale the following week and am worried it will clash with the election. Do you think if I got in touch with Bertie he'd avoid that date?

If you promised Bertie your vote, I'm sure he would change the date.

Sounds a bit bogey to me......
