Golf Valuation

I need to sell a VW Golf GTI quickly for a mate. He tried to flog it in Cork and had no luck so he's asked me to try in Dublin. Its a 98 (new shape) 5 door. 150 bhp with 80k on the clock.
The car is perfect condition. What should I be looking for it? Is 8 grand too dear?
