Golf electrics - is this serious?

My 01 Golf has started acting silly bugger with me.

First off, one of the rear doors won't unlock with the central locking. Can't get it open at all. That happened 2 days ago.

Now today when I was turning the key in the drivers door back and forward a few times to try and unlock the rear door, ALL 4 windows went down fully at the same time.

Are my electrics on the way out, or is it a simple fix?
 
the issue with all 4 windows going down is a standard feature on VW and Audi cars. Hold the key to the left in the lock and all 4 windows open.
The central locking issue is a common fault. The contacts in the lock module tend to crack. See this tread http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthre...or-locks-explained-why-you-re-having-problems
Another point of weakness on the golf is the clasps that hold the window in the door. If you got to get the lock module fixed its worth taking a look at these as well. If there is any damage, replace them.
