going onto jobseekers benefit after sick benefit

Hi I was made redundant in June 08.I subsequently went on maternty benefit. I had this until End of jan 2009. I then went on sick benefit due to ongoing problems after the delivery of my baby. I am still on sick benefit and will be going to sign on shortly.

Does anyone have any idea how many months stamps I will have left. Have I been using my stamps while on sick benefit? I am seriously stresssed about this. We need the money to pay the mortgage etc.


Do you use up ur stamp while on sick benefit while you are unemployed?



Your advice would be appreciated.
 
The claim to JB will start at Day 1. You won't serve 'waiting days' adn the rate of payment is based on 2007 PRSI record (if claim made in 2009).

Apologies - I am not clear about what you mean.

So I will start at day 1 of jobseekers allowance based on yr 2007. I was on maternity leave that yr (unpaid) from Jan to 21/08. How many wks do you have to have to get jobseekers?

Have at look at keypost for qualifying conditions. You will have got a 'credited' contribution for each week on Maternity Benefit
