Hi,

I have been with the same Employer for 17 years. The first 6 years were Full time and the last 11 years have been Jobsharing. The company are offering Voluntary redundancy (6 + 2) and my Jobsharing partner is going to take it.

I have been informed verbally by my Employer that I must return to Full time on the date she finishes in 3 Months. I can't really afford to take it myself and so I will have to return to Full time.

The Voluntary Package is to remain open for about another 6 Months and after that if they haven't reached head count targets it will be Compulsary Redundancy!

How would my Redundancy be calculated if I took Voluntary Package after 3 Months of going back Full time??

Or if I am made redundant after going back Full time??

Thanks

Hi

I worked for 13 years in a company, 9 years full time and 4 years part time. My redundancy was calculated on a pro rata basis.

I finished on part time hours so I was very happy to get the credit for the full time portion of my service.

My pension, on the other hand, was calculated on my final, part time salary. I only realised this lately. I am considering appealing this as I feel it should be pro rata as I would have paid full salary contributions for most of my service.
