Hi,
Im on jobseekers benefit right now and have been since the beginning of July. I finshed work on the 30th april,but due to a long story, i didnt get backdated for the 4 weeks i was off work in may. However i appealed this with the supervisor in my local sw office today and he has told me i will now get backdated.
However,im heading off on a year long travel break on monday 29th june. The backdated payment wont be in till wed 1st july, 2 days after i leave, so i wont be here to go collect it in the post office. Anyone know what options are available to me here?I have yet to tell the sw office im going travelling
Im afraid if i ring the sw office tomorrow and say im goin travelling they may cancel my sw beneifit that im due to recieve this wed,as well as no backpay. What should i do?
