Hi
I booked and paid for a holiday to Lanzarotte by credit card - The holiday is for November but all monies have been paid upfront as you had to from the go2spain site i booked from. I have got an email stating that the company has gone into liquidation and that I need to persue a refund through my credit card company.

I also have annual travel insurance. What is the norm here in terms of the best channel to pursue in order to get a refund on the monies paid by me- should I claim through my insurance or through the credit card company - If it is the credit card company do they normally pay within a reasonable amount of time

Thanks

Deal directly with the credit card company.

It is better to have a clear claims record for insurance purposes.

They may fob you off, but tell them your rights.

The National Consumer Agency and the European Consumer Centre will be able to help you.

If you have hassle, go to the Ombudsman.

Keep us updated please as it is interesting to see how the credit card providers work.

Will do , after ringing the credit card company I have to send them in written documentation and proof that I have tried to get my money back. So am posting this to them tonight.
Thanks
